There will be a pre-ride of the Dismal Dash Time Trial course this Sunday (3/4). We are looking to roll at 2pm from the White Marsh Shopping Center in Surprising Suffolk. (1226 White Marsh Road)

Since we are co-sponsoring, we need a to have a good showing for both on the course and help with the race - yes, you can do both. So get out those dedicated time trial bikes or screw on those aerobars (or better yet just ride it Eddy-style).

Dismal Dash Time Trial - Volunteers Needed

Race Team Meeting Thursday Feb 22

There will be a race team meeting at the shop on Thursday, February 22nd @ 700. This will be to talk about the upcoming season (Snowball is this weekend) and other team related topics. Hopefully, they'll be jerseys to hand out if they arrive today or tomorrow. Rumor has it that there may be some swag too.

Don will be providing some snacks and feel free to bring your favorite beverage.

Speaking of the Snowball Crit, AAB Racing will be well represented in the CAT 5 race with 10 racers in the field of 50 and 6 in the CAT 3/4 race.

Jerseys Update and Shoe Orders

Jerseys will be shipped on Feb 13th.

The Sidi shoe deal is ending soon. Get by the shop or call them Saturday to get your order in if you want one. The order is going out Monday the 12th. This is a good deal on one of the most comfortable cycling shoes on the market.

The inaugural Amgen Tour of California got underway last year and made history as America's greatest new stage race drawing a record 1.3 million spectators . The 2007 edition will once again be staged over 650 miles of California's best terrain February 18-25, 2007. The UCI sanctioned race draws top professional teams from around the world including riders such as Americans Floyd Landis, Levi Leipheimer and George Hincapie. This years edition should prove to be just a successful as last years and will be the most significant cycling road race held in the United States.

Dismal Dash Time Trial March 18th
The Dismal Dash Time Trial registration is up on www.bikereg.com. It's sponsored by Chesapeake Cycling Club and the City of Suffolk.
It's the First Race of the Virginia Cycling Association BAR Series. If you don't plan on racing (and even if you are racing), CCC could always use the help of volunteers. I'll get more info on how you can voluteer and who to contact and post an update.

Looks like the Snowball Crit #1 CAT 3/4 race is full @ 50 entries. We have a strong showing of 12 registered in the 3/4 and the 5 races. There's still plenty of spaces left in the CAT 5 race so get registered.
